Before her current position, she served as the Operations Manager of the firm and prior to that, she worked on reengineering and restructuring the Private Client and Claims Practices, achieving positive results. She holds a postgraduate diploma in Risk Management and Insurance from St. John’s University, a Master’s in Business Administration, as well as a B.S. (Summa Cum Laude) in Psychology, both from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. Janyra is a Licensed Property and Casualty Agent, as well as a Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR), who always puts the interests of her clients first.

“It is a true honor to be a leader in the insurance industry, both as a woman and as a minority. Women are underrepresented in insurance leadership roles and being a young woman sometimes means that you end up working twice as hard, regardless of whether you have the experience and education. I think my approach has mostly been to handle my profession for what it is instead of focusing on the fact that I’m a woman or a minority. I, of course, have encountered push-backs but I am really inspired by results and hard work brings positive results. What I enjoy most about my career is helping others, both external and internal customers.”
